Sandra and Ben's Seaside Maine Wedding

A seaside landscape is so quintessential Maine and makes for an unforgettable wedding. Clients Sandra and Ben got married at the beautiful Newagen Seaside Inn in Southport this past July and they had picturesque views, a built-in ceremony backdrop, soft yet striking pops of color, and nautical vibes galore. In addition to having an elevated coastal garden theme, they also incorporated floral elements in their wedding design in many fun ways.

With all of the natural inspiration the ocean provides, choosing the right florals for your beach wedding is of the utmost importance. For Sandra and Ben’s wedding, they opted for a bohemian, yet classic romantic feel. We achieved this with locally sourced dahlias, cosmos, lisianthus, phlox, zinnias, bupleurum, and snapdragons with other complimentary sourced blooms of ranunculus, classic roses, delphinium, and spray roses. The balance of white blooms and soft pastel accent tones complimented the greens and blues of the seaside background. For us, it was important to create a unique aesthetic while complimenting the traditional surroundings of the coast.
